As you know, in the West, old buildings that are no longer used for their intended purpose do not stand idle for a long time – clever designers will necessarily remake them into someone’s private residence, or (in the case of a larger scale) into an original hotel. This is exactly what happened to the magnificent structure of the famous Amsterdam Conservatory in the heart of the Dutch capital, where the modern design hotel Conservatorium settled several years ago. The impressive foyer with all-glass walls and a second (third?) Light does its job perfectly – evoking a “WOW” effect for first-time guests. The interior of the rooms is made in a stylish, restrained minimalism using neutral colors, but the rooms on the top floor stand apart – they are beautiful!
