The owner of this house in Eden Isle, Louisiana, USA spent his childhood on the coast and decided that his children should spend more time by the water. So the young family came up with the idea of creating a country cottage by the lake, where they could come on weekends. The interior, designed by designer Tami Riesinger, is made in shades of gray, cream and blue with the addition of red accents and handcrafted marine paraphernalia (oars, ship model, compass chandelier). There is not much space in the house, but the presence of a guest room was a prerequisite for the owners – as a result, a room-cabin with two bunk beds was obtained – and saving space and adhering to style. The bedroom and bathroom are different from the general style of the house. They turned out to be more restrained and elegant – an ideal place to relax after the busy days of the city. Also in summer you can relax comfortably on the terrace with a swing sofa, and in winter – sit in a large company by the fireplace. The house turned out to be at the same time bright and discreet, compact and spacious. Very interesting project!
