After extensive reconstruction, this duplex Sydney is simply unrecognizable. The building, which is more than a hundred years old, has changed not only on the inside, the whole exterior of the house was also rethought. The façade was made more modern and practical by placing a terrace on each floor. The project turned out to be difficult also due to the location of the house – it seemed to be sandwiched between the neighbors, and such a narrow space dictated its own rules. The designers got out of the situation by playing with vertical lines and elongated shapes: for example, the kitchen goes over to the wall, and a full-length glass insert expands the space. The pool looks especially impressive, which is delicately inscribed in a small area of the backyard. By the way, one of the photos shows pieces of neighboring houses – the contrast and scale of the work is impressive.!
