This apartment is located in a historic house in one of the most famous and tourist places of Kiev – on Andreevsky Descent, in Podil. Classical architecture and also family memory (the dwelling belonged to several generations of the customer’s family) predetermined the course towards preserving original details with history and integrating them into a modern interior. Thus, all the doors in the apartment have been preserved and restored, and the fragments of the brick walls are the original masonry from the time the house was built. Another distinctive feature is the active use of black (ceiling in the bedroom!), Despite the classic moldings and vintage decor. It’s all about the owner’s love for dark shades, which is fully shared by the project designer Oksana Dolgopyatova. How do you like this reading of housing in a historic house??
